High Adventure
Troop 738 is an Adventure-Focused troop and we do a High Adventure trip every year. These trips are typically for older Scouts, 14+ (depending on the program). Each program is unique and planning begins 2 years in advance. It is also an amazing experience for adult leaders who train as part of the crew. We are fond of saying that these trips are “Type 2 Fun” – the crews must overcome rugged and difficult challenges that help them grow and test their own abilities. In addition to the official High Adventure programs, the troop has organized other trips to Glacier National Park, Laurel Highlands, and others, carrying on a tradition that started before Summit Bechtel was built.
